MUSIC REFLECTION term 1 - Jayne Imelda 10c

Today we were only told about what we need to bring to music class. The teachers gave us an introduction because some of us are new students. They also told us about the briefing about what we are going to learn in this music theory class for this term. Next time I should pay more attention in the class.

Today we were divided into the groups of our music instruments. We had to come to the front and play a song to prove that we are able to play the instrument so that we can be in that class. And then we are told to bring the instruments for our next meeting. So next class I have to bring the instrument.

Today we were divided into our instrument classes. The teacher introduce them self and then they tell us about what we're going to learn in this term for the instrument class. I think that it's not going to be hard for us to do because the teacher is fun and he is a very good musician. Next time i should pay more attention too.

Today we learn about notation. We were taught about 'triad chord' and '7th chord'. I think that it's not so hard to learn because I already know about them. But i still need to improve more on the notation.

Today we also learn about notation. We were taught about the '7th chord' from G major. It wasn't hard for me to do because I understand the basic concept. So it is easier for me to catch up.

Today we learn about music notation again. They taught us about '1st inversion' and '2nd inversion'. It is also easy because we only had to move the first note to the last. so it becomes 1st inversion. But if we move 2 from the first note, and placed it at the back, it becomes 2nd inversion. I think i should improve also on the 2nd inversion.

Today we had to sing 'heal the world'. We practice and also we have to sing in pairs at the front in front of our friends. I think that I did quite well because I sing it in front of the microphone so that it is easier for the teacher to listen to our voice. And we also had to memorize the lyric of the song. I should practice more on the song so that i can perform better next time.

Today we revise on music inversion 1 and 2. We also were divided into our music presentation group. I moved to the jazz group from the Latin American group. I was told to research on the jazz instrument. I think that i should participate in the group.

Today we were told to perform on the classic music song to prepare for our up coming assessment next week. So we were given a chance to rehearse in front of our friends. I didn't get to play because they only choose 2 people to play from each instrument class. I think that I should practice more on the song so i could also be ready when i am called.

Today we have a presentation for music. I think I did quite well for the presentation. I think that next time I should be more creative.

Today we perform on our classic song. I played Lagrima on my guitar, and i think that i did quite well although i get a bit nervous and made a little mistake. So next time i need to practice more and improve my skill on the guitar.

Today we learn a bit and did a revise on our previous class. It was fun. But the class was too loud, next time we have to lower our voice a bit.

Today we were given a piece of paper by Mr.John which we have to study about. It was about the notes. We have to understand about it.

Today we get to watch the video of us when we were performing last week. And then we were told to make a reflection on our performance. I think that i did quite well, though i made some mistake. But next time i should be better by practicing more harder.
